Zella Parke Wilson, 89, the widow of Frank L. Wilson, passed away Wednesday morning, November 30, 2016, at her home.
Mrs. Wilson was born on November 15, 1927, in Madison County, the daughter of the late Jacob and Grace Reid Parke. She was a retired secretary for the office of Probation and Parole, and was a member of The Waco Baptist Church. A loving mother and grandmother, she loved her flower garden and also loved to paint. It was said of her that "she was Very Creative."
Survivors include: three children, Donnie Wilson (Teresa), Kenneth Wilson (Janet) and Jeanne Caldwell (Jim); four grandchildren, Jason Brent Wilson, Quentin Wilson and Jake and Kirt Caldwell; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Clinton and Robert Earl Parke, and one sister, Jakie Turner.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016, at The Waco Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Erickson officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the church.
Serving as pallbearers will be her four grandsons, Jason Brent Wilson, Quentin Wilson, Jake Caldwell, Kirt Caldwell, Tim Turner and Jason Turner.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Betty Tudor, Josie Palladino, Betty Hall, Lorraine Bicknell, Lorraine Cotton and The Adult Ladies Sunday School Class of The Waco Baptist Church.
Donations may be made to Hospice Care Plus or The Waco Baptist Church.
