Alfred J. McKnight
Mr. Alfred J. McKnight, 92, of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, formerly of Berea, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019, at Artis Senior Living West Shore near Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.
Mr. McKnight, the son of the late Sam McKnight and Grace Sensing McKnight, was born in Fayette County, Tennessee, on September 24, 1927. He owned Richmond Datacon and had attended the Berea Methodist Church. Bowling and tending their garden were among his and his wife's favorite hobbies. He also served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Army.
On June 25, 1949, Mr. McKnight united in marriage to Rose Helen Cross McKnight. They recently celebrated 70 years of marriage.
Other survivors include three sons: Michael (& Debbie) McKnight of Camp Hill, PA, Steve (& Jenny) McKnight of Taylorsville, KY, and David (& Cheryl) McKnight of Dallas, TX; seven grandsons: Adam McKnight, Andrew (& Erin) McKnight, Matthew (& Tiffany) McKnight, Jeremy (& Sarah) McKnight, Daniel Grubbs, Mark McKnight, and Todd James (& Cathy); 14 great-grandchildren: Garrett, Winter, Quinton, Brighton, Anderson, Brandon, Jack, Hannah, Keely, Birdie, Bowie, Emma, Cole and Makenna; one sister-in-law: Pat McKnight and several nephews and nieces.
Mr. McKnight was also preceded in death by one daughter: Becky Nelson.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Timothy Karvonen officiating.
Friends will be received after 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
