Richmond, Kentucky - Daniel "Dan" Webster Hale, 97, of Richmond, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Baptist Health Hospital- Lexington.

Dan was born on Wednesday, June 13, 1928, in Madison County, Kentucky, the son of the late Burton and Alice Browning Hale. He was a retired employee of Delta Airlines stationed at Blue Grass Airport in Lexington. Dan was raised on a farm and had a love instilled in him for farming. He was a landowner who enjoyed his land. He enjoyed travelling and had travelled mostly all over the world. One of his favorite pastimes was reading the Wall Street Journal which he religiously read every day. He served his country in the U. S. Army and was of the Baptist Faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Jean Cox; three brothers, Jimmy Earl Hale, George Burton Hale and Bobby Don Hale; a sister, Louise Andes; his granddaughter, Eve Gortney and a great-grandson, Tyler Austin Hale.

Survivors include a daughter, Lana Sue Harrison, of Paint Lick; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 AM Monday, June 1, 2026 at Combs, Parsons and Collins Funeral Home with burial following at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with full military honors being observed.

Visitation will be from 4 - 8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Terry Gortney, Gary Willis, Ryan Healy, Chris Myers, Fred Andes and Thristian Hale.

Fellow co-workers at Delta Airlines will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
