Richmond, Kentucky - James Robert Morgan, 70, passed away peacefully at his home in Richmond, Kentucky, on April 17, 2026.

A lifelong native of Madison County, James was born on February 15, 1956, in Berea, Kentucky, to the late Margie Davis Morgan and Jim Buck Morgan.

James was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife, Imogene Tussey Morgan.

He is survived by his siblings, Roderick Davis Morgan and wife Vivian Charlotte Morgan of Salyersville, Kentucky; Carrie Pebble Connelly and husband Clark Connelly of Marietta, Georgia; and William Buck Morgan and wife Janice Morgan of Bethpage, Tennessee. He is also survived by his children, Jeffery Lee Tussey (Eileen) of Gaylord, Michigan; Jennifer T. Hisle of Richmond; and Karey Renee Dillon, along with a host of loving grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

For many years, James owned and operated a diesel mechanic shop in Lexington, Kentucky. He will be remembered for his hard work, dedication, and the love he had for his family.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Flatwoods Cemetery. Arrangements will be announced at a later date.
