Michael Lee "Mike" Snyder, 64, of Kirksville, passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 at his home after a long illness.
Mike was born in Madison Co., Ky., on February 28, 1955, the son of the late Glenmore and Betty Jane Miller Snyder. He was a retired employee of the Madison Co. Road Dept. and a farmer at heart, who enjoyed farming and gardening. Mike was known as "Motorcycle Man" and "Music Man" because of his love for riding motorcycles and singing and sharing his music with others. He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren and was a member of Kirksville Baptist Church. Mike was an animal lover, an avid horse rider, and was especially fond of his dogs. He had a Facebook Family and was always interested in encouraging them.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene Grant Snyder; one son, Eric Lee Snyder (Stacy), of Kirksville; two brothers, Danny Snyder (Millie), of Lexington and David Snyder (Sharon), of Richmond; one grandson, Braxton Snyder and his mother, April Wheaton; one granddaughter, Summer Snyder; his mother-in-law, Margie Grant; three aunts, Wilma Howard, Minnie Ismond and Barbara Jones; one uncle, Burnam Miller, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 PM Thursday at Kirksville Baptist Church with Bro. Dennis Hisle, Bro. Butch Pennington and Eric Snyder officiating. Visitation will be from 3 - 7 PM Thursday at the church. www.cpcfh.com
