Vail, Arizona - Robert "Bobby" Earl Puckett, of Vail, Arizona, the widow of the late Gloria Jean Puckett, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026, in Tucson, AZ, at the age of 78. Bob was born on October 18, 1947, in Richmond, KY to the late Earl Nelson Puckett and Mary Retta Puckett. Bobby is survived by one son, Robert (Melissa) Puckett, two grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann and Hannah Marie Puckett, and his favorite cat, Tails, all of whom he loved dearly and who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and service. He lived a life marked by service, generosity, and an unwavering devotion to those around him. Bobby answered the call to serve his country with distinction in the United States Armed Forces from 1968 to 1989, dedicating more than two decades to the defense of his nation. Bob worked in the lending and insurance industry, where he built a respected professional legacy spanning over 40 years. His strong work ethic and commitment to others defined every chapter of his career. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bobby was deeply engaged in his community where he served faithfully with God's Outreach Madison County Food Bank, giving generously of his time and energy to ensure that those in need were cared for. He was also an active member of his church, where he found fellowship and purpose in service to others. Those who knew Bobby will remember him for his wonderful sense of humor, boundless generosity, and his willingness to step forward whenever someone needed help. He found his greatest joy in the company of family, whether gathered around a campfire, exploring the outdoors, or sharing in the traditions of scouting. His love of nature and adventure left lasting memories for all who joined him on those journeys. May Bobby find peace in the loving arms of his Creator, having lived a life that reflected compassion, honor, and faith. He will be deeply missed by his family, his friends, and the many lives he touched through his selfless spirit. Visitation will be held from 9 - 11 AM on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, with services following visitation at 11 AM, with Chris Holman officiating. Burial will follow at Madison County Memorial Gardens. The family welcomes all who wish to gather in remembrance of a life so well lived. Pallbearers are Robert Puckett, T. Olsen, Jason Davis, Aubrey Maffett, Mike Tipton, Anthony Lowery and honorable pallbearer Steve Frazier.
