Anchorage, Alaska - Sergeant Brian Alexander Padgett, age 22, of Waco, Kentucky, and a proud member of the U.S. Army stationed in Anchorage, Alaska, passed away Monday, May 25, 2026, from injuries sustained in a non-duty motorcycle accident.

SGT Padgett was born June 27, 2003, in Allentown, Pennsylvania and is the son of Rev. Justin and Ashley Scrivner Padgett. He attended Madison Southern High School and went on to enlist in the United States Army in 2023. He completed his training and served as a Specialist, dedicated to his duties and his country. Due to his exemplary dedication, he was posthumously promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Outside of his military service, he enjoyed the freedom of the open road and had a natural aptitude for computers and technology. He was a member of Waco Baptist Church where his father serves as pastor.

In addition to his parents, SGT Padgett is survived by his siblings, Sarah Padgett, Naomi Padgett and Judah Padgett, his paternal grandparents, Michael Padgett and Evelyn Whitt Padgett, his maternal grandparents, Robbie and Janet Scrivner and Anthony and Kelly Castle, his maternal great-grandmother: Betty Rowlett, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Waco Baptist Church, 3646 Irvine Rd, Richmond. A second time for visiting will take place from 11:00 AM until service time Friday at the church.

The funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 PM Friday at the church with Rev.
