Sue Carolyn Murray
Sue Carolyn White Murray, 76, of Berea, the widow of Conley E. Murray, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Baptist Health - Lexington.

She was born August 26, 1943, in Richmond, Kentucky, to the late Evelyn Sue White. Sue graduated from the Hager Beauty School in Lexington after completing high school and was a hairdresser for 25 years. She was an active member of Faith Baptist Church in Richmond, where she enjoyed working in VBS, the fall festival and substitute teaching in Sunday school. She loved her church family and friends. Sue also enjoyed reading, assembling jigsaw puzzles, and she loved flowers.

She is survived by one daughter, Angie King Wininger of Berea; three step-daughters, Lisa Murray-Smith (Tony), Denise Murray, and Cheryl Murray Orr, all of Florida; five grandchildren, Michael Thacker, Allen Winginger, Justin Smith, Brittani Smith, and Christian Smith; five great grandchildren, Savannah Thacker, Brayden Thacker, Taylor Winginger, Alyssa Wininger and Jackson Wininger; as well as, many friends whom she also claimed as brothers and sisters, Holly, Chuck & Carol, Elizabeth, Jerrie, Bonnie, Bernice, Ron and Brenda.

In addition to her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by a step-son, G. Dennis Murray.

Funeral service for Sue will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, December 12, 2019, at Faith Baptist Church, Richmond, with Pastor John Doss officiating. Burial will follow in Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11 AM until service time on Thursday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Hensley, Bill Jones, Michael Thacker, Marty Jones, Bro. Lawson, John Webb and Tommy Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Griffith, Ron Oha, and Paul Jones.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Faith Baptist Academy.

Services are under the direction of Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home.
