Wanda Rhodus Scrivner
Mrs. Wanda Louise Rhodus Scrivner, 79, of Richmond, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Baptist Health - Richmond.
Mrs. Scrivner, the daughter of John Cecil and Bessie Hall Rhodus, was born in Madison County on January 25, 1940. Earlier in life, she had worked for Joe Webb Trucking as a dispatcher, for Westinghouse and for Hager Rental as a bookkeeper. With a great love for children, she went to provide child care in her home for over 20 years. She loved to talk with others and touched the lives of so many. She was a member of Union City Baptist Church.
On August 7, 1959, she united in marriage to Cecil Dean Scrivner who preceded her in death on November 6, 2013.
Survivors include: her son and daughter-in-law: Robbie Dean and Janet Scrivner; two granddaughters and their husbands: Ashley Renee & Rev. Justin Padgett and Stephanie Michelle and Zac Lewis; six great grandchildren: Sarah Elizabeth Padgett, Brian Alexander Padgett, Naomi Renee Padgett, Judah Allen Padgett, Oliver Dean Lewis and Elliot Russell Lewis.
In addition to her husband and parents, Wanda was also preceded in death by their daughter, Regina Dawn Scrivner.
At Mrs. Scrivner's request, funeral services will be private.
